Will I have to pay any additional taxes on my order if I’m located outside of the US?
International orders may be subject to import taxes, duties, and other customs charges. The charges vary by country, and at this time we are unable to calculate them in advance. For more information regarding your country’s customs policies, please contact your local customs office. If such a fee indeed gets imposed on your package, you are responsible for its payment.
★ Why is my shipping so high?
Sometimes, when orders contain multiple different print-to-order products from multiple different manufacturers, they must be printed and shipped separately from their own individual fufillment centers. Consequently, you may have distinct shipping rates stacking on your order for each one.
Currently, there's nothing we can do about this as the store is not big enough to support preorders and warehouse space needed to hold stock, so all of our items are printed to order.
★ You have so many products! What's going on?
beansprout.store is currently a passion project run by prof_beansprout (also known as Beanie), a Twitch streamer and artist who has always wanted to run her own merchandise storefront. She has a lot of ideas!
★ What can I expect from the products?
beansprout.store features products displaying various art, designs, and other works by prof_beansprout (Beanie). Beanie prioritizes lower production costs (so as to keep merchandise affordable for customers) without sacrificing too much quality, and listens to any feedback regarding item quality issues.
The items and brands that designs are printed on are selected primarily based off of size availability, production costs, and color variations, in that order.
★ Why are the colors in such a weird order?
Products on this site have their color variations manually reviewed upon release. Colors are sorted manually from left to right in order of size availability; the farther right you go, the more sizes are unavailable in that color. beansprout.store prioritizes size accessibility and quality, and will avoid making too many color variations that are non-inclusive of plus sizes.
If you find that the color size data has changed for a product (basically, if the order is no longer reflective of missing sizes), please contact Beanie at profbeansproutttv@gmail.com with details.
★ What's with the pricing?
Items are priced with affordability in mind, and are often price matched with friendly/affiliated stores as a reference to avoid creating too much competition.
Typically, products are priced at a recommended $10 profit for general merchandise after factoring in production costs (with the exception of smaller items such as stickers), and Fourthwall (the platform this is hosten on) takes about 5% of creator earnings, plus a standard credit card processing fee of 2.9% plus $0.30 on all transactions.
However, this profit margin is only recommended, and not rigid, so products on this site are often priced slightly lower to make neater numbers (or because Beanie thought that it would already be too expensive for customers). Also, products are priced relatively uniformly with minimal price differences based on things such as quality, design intricacy, and special occasions/events.
For instance, limited-edition merch is often priced higher because, well, they're limited-edition, but also because they often feature more intricate or involved designs.
Also, keep in mind that production costs increase drastically based on the number of individual print areas selected on merchandise, so the more print spots there are (e.g. front, back, left sleeve, etc.), the more expensive it is to make said product. beansprout.store prioritizes consistency and quality over profit (though this does not mean that products are undersold!) and aims to create a fair shopping experience.
